Cornwall weather: Sunday 26 July, showers before the heat returns
If you woke to grey skies and a stiff breeze this morning, don’t put the sun cream away just yet. The fresher, showery start to the week is a short interruption, and the warmth is already lining up to come back. Here is how the next few days look across Cornwall, based on the Met Office forecast for South West England.

Today
Sunday gets off to a cloudy and breezy start with some showery rain possible. Those showers become more isolated through the morning, and the afternoon brings warm spells of sunshine at times. Maximum temperature 22°C.
Tonight
Apart from a very isolated light shower, the evening and night stay dry. There will be sunshine to end the day, followed by clear spells overnight. Breezy, though mild, with a minimum temperature of 14°C.
Monday
Monday starts dry with bright spells and stays dry throughout the day, with an increasingly sunny afternoon. It will feel pleasantly warm in gentle winds. Maximum temperature 23°C.

Tuesday to Thursday
From Tuesday onwards the picture turns mostly dry and settled. Expect plenty of sunshine, lighter winds, and temperatures climbing again as the week goes on. The fresher spell at the weekend, it seems, was the exception rather than the shape of things to come.
