How the rolling closures work
The roads won’t be shut for the full hour. Each one will close as the parade passes and reopen as soon as it is safe to do so.
Most closures are expected to last no longer than 15 minutes.
Which roads are affected
Fifteen roads and one car park are on the list:
- Central Street (Manor Road junction)
- East Street
- Trebarwith Crescent
- Manor Road
- Manor Road Car Park
- Marcus Hill
- Bank Street
- The Crescent
- Gover Lane
- Chapel Hill
- Beachfield Avenue
- King Street
- Beach Road
- Cheltenham Place
- Fore Street (from Alma Place junction)
A short wait for a morning of remembrance
So anyone heading into town that Sunday morning, or with a car in Manor Road Car Park, may meet a brief pause while the parade goes by.
More information is available on the Newquay Town Council website.
The council thanked people for their patience “while we come together to remember and honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice.”
