RSPCA Cornwall needs three foster homes for dogs it can’t show you
There are three dogs in RSPCA Cornwall’s care right now that you won’t find on any rehoming page. No photos, no profiles. Just an urgent request for somewhere quiet to stay.
The RSPCA Cornwall branch has put out an appeal for three separate foster homes for three of its larger-breed dogs, who need somewhere to live while their ongoing cases are resolved.
Kennel life can be overwhelming, the branch says, and these dogs deserve somewhere safe, calm and loving where they can relax and feel secure during an uncertain time.

Why there are no photos
Because of the sensitive nature of their ongoing cases, the branch can’t share photographs of the dogs at the moment. The image released with the appeal is an illustration only.
What a foster home needs
The branch is looking for patient, understanding fosterers with experience of caring for larger dogs. It is asking for:
- A calm, loving home with someone around for much of the day
- A secure garden with fencing at least 6ft high
- Someone willing to give reassurance, routine and gentle guidance
- A home that can meet each dog’s individual needs, including any requirements around children or other pets
The appeal is for three separate homes, not one.
What the RSPCA covers
Fosterers won’t be left out of pocket. RSPCA Cornwall will pay for food, bedding, equipment and veterinary care, and its team will give ongoing support throughout.
All a fosterer needs to bring, the branch says, is a safe space, patience and plenty of love.

How to apply
You can apply to foster on the RSPCA Cornwall website. For more about the dogs and what each one needs, the branch’s rehoming team is on 01637 881455.
And if fostering isn’t possible for you, the branch is asking people to share the appeal. Someone you know might be the safe place one of these dogs is waiting for.
