A Christmas Market, a tree festival and festive teas
The festive side of things starts with a Christmas Market to browse and the Christmas Tree Festival, which fills the cathedral with decorated trees.
There are Festive Teas too. And for anyone who wants to get hands-on, the cathedral is running Children’s Christmas Decoration Workshops and Wreath Making Workshops.
The Christmas concert with Truro Cathedral Choir
Music is a big part of Christmas at the cathedral. The programme includes seasonal concerts and special performances, with the sounds of Advent and Christmas filling the building.
The highlight for many will be the annual Christmas concert with Truro Cathedral Choir. The cathedral describes it as a spectacular evening packed with choral music and festive favourites.
Advent Procession, Midnight Mass and the Pets’ Carol Service
Alongside the busier events, the cathedral is offering what it calls space to reflect and reconnect.
That includes the Advent Procession, Midnight Mass and the Christmas Day Eucharist. The ever-popular Pets’ Carol Service is back as well, as the cathedral marks the Christmas story and the birth of Christ.
