The Cornish Pirates have announced their latest signing for the upcoming season, securing the talents of 23-year-old Welshman, Iwan Price-Thomas.

A Promising Start

Born in Cardiff, Iwan Price-Thomas is a versatile full-back and fly-half who has showcased his skills on various prominent stages. His rugby journey began at Y Pant Comprehensive School in Pontyclun, followed by further education at Coleg Y Cymoedd. Recently, he completed his degree at the University of Bath, a period during which he also represented the prestigious HKU Sandy Bay RFC in Hong Kong.

Gavin Cattle, the Cornish Pirates’ joint head coach, expressed his excitement about the new addition to the team. He revealed that Iwan was recommended by Alan James of Bath University, who has been a mentor to him. Gavin highlighted Iwan’s exceptional performance at the British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) level, where he stood out as a key player for Bath University.
