Six Fowey Gardens Open Their Gates Next Week, And Only For Two Days

Behind the front doors of six private homes in Fowey are gardens most people will never see. Next week, for two days only, the gates open.

On Monday 25th May and Tuesday 26th May, from 10am to 5pm, six private gardens across the town will welcome ticket holders for a rare look inside.

The Six Gardens

The Old Barn, Daglands House, Porphyry Hall Garden, 5 Cobbs Well, 1 Church Avenue and Broadstairs will all be open across the two days. Each one offers something different, from estuary views to walled garden seclusion.

Live Opera In The Gardens

Tenor Thomas Martyn, a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, will perform four short operatic interludes during the two days. Thomas will sing at Broadstairs garden on North Street and at Daglands House. Spaces at the performances are capacity controlled and run on a first-arrivals basis.

Refreshments

Tea, coffee and cake will be served at Broadstairs, Daglands House and Porphyry Hall Garden on both days. Visitors heading to 1 Church Avenue will find prosecco on offer instead.
