Appeal after man on mobility scooter assaulted in Lostwithiel

A ride out by the river at Coulson Park ended with a man surrounded by three strangers as the light faded on a Tuesday evening. He got away unhurt. Now police want to hear from anyone who saw it happen.

What police say happened

Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted while out on his mobility scooter in Lostwithiel.

The victim, aged in his 40s, reported that he was approached by three men near the river at Coulson Park in the late afternoon into the early evening of Tuesday 28 July.

Detectives are investigating a report that the man was assaulted before escaping his attackers uninjured.
