Cornwall Swim Festival returns to Trevassack Lake this Saturday
A November Saturday on the Lizard, a lake, and as many swims as you can manage. For some people that sounds like a punishment.
For a few others, it’s the whole point.

What’s happening at Trevassack Lake
The Cornwall Swim Festival returns to Trevassack Lake this Saturday (7 November), celebrating cold-water swimming, community and the great outdoors.
It’s organised by Cornish Kelpie, a Cornwall-based swimming adventure and coaching organisation. This is the festival’s second year at the award-winning accessible watersports venue on the Lizard Peninsula, and it runs from 9am to 4pm.
How far you can swim
Distances range from 100 metres up to 2 kilometres. And there’s no need to pick just one. Swimmers are welcome to take on as many as they like.
This year’s festival also features the Jo Wilce Memorial Race.
Away from the water
Not everything happens in the lake. There will be talks from cold-water swimming speakers, trade stalls selling swimming equipment and accessories, and live music through the day.
Trevassack Lake’s café and facilities will be open throughout.

How the first one went
The inaugural festival in 2025 welcomed 85 swimmers across five distances, along with local stallholders, music, community stands and fundraising activities.
Trevassack Lake is owned by Children’s Sailing Trust, which says it is proud to host the festival. Bringing people together through outdoor activity also supports the charity’s mission to inspire young people through inclusive sailing and watersports.
Tickets and details
Tickets cost £30 per person, or £5 for spectators, and both include parking. You can book and find more information on the Cornwall Swim Festival page.
