Your chance to shape Cornwall’s crime priorities is closing
If something in your neighbourhood has been bothering you, the noise, the damage, the behaviour that makes a street feel less like home, there is a short window left to put it on the record.
Safer Cornwall is asking residents to fill in its annual Have Your Say survey on crime and antisocial behaviour, and the clock is running down. The survey is open on the Let’s Talk Cornwall website until Sunday, August 31.

What the survey is for
Safer Cornwall is a partnership of organisations working together to make Cornwall a safer place for everyone who lives, works and visits. The feedback gathered through the survey helps those partners identify the issues having the greatest impact on communities and shapes the work they do next.
Because it runs every year, the survey also tracks how concerns and experiences shift over time. You can see results from previous surveys online.
Antisocial behaviour is defined as persistent behaviour that causes harassment, alarm or distress. It can cover neighbour nuisance, vandalism, intimidation and threatening behaviour.
What is being asked of residents
Cllr Thalia Marrington, Cabinet Member for Community Safety and Public Health, said: “I would encourage everyone to take a few moments to complete this survey. It only takes about 10 minutes and every response helps us build a clearer picture of the issues affecting people across Cornwall.
“It is one of our priorities to create vibrant, safe and supportive communities and the feedback we receive through the Have Your Say survey will help us understand where action is needed most and ensure we focus our efforts on the issues that matter to our residents.”
Simon Mould, Chair of Safer Cornwall, said: “We want to hear directly from the people who live and work in Cornwall. Your experiences, concerns and ideas are essential in helping us tackle crime and antisocial behaviour, reduce the harms caused by drugs and alcohol, and support safer, stronger communities.
“By taking part in our survey, you can help shape local priorities and ensure that Safer Cornwall with our partners focus on the issues that matter most to you and your community.”
More information is available on the Safer Cornwall website. The survey itself stays open until the end of August.
