Warm Weather Is Back… But Will It Last All Week?

A spell of dry, sunny weather is set to bring a welcome boost to South West England this week, with temperatures climbing well above those seen over the weekend.

Sunny Start to the Week

Monday 6th April is expected to be dry and largely fine, with plenty of sunshine across the region. Temperatures will feel a little warmer than recent days, particularly where winds are lighter, with highs reaching around 16°C.

As the evening sets in, conditions will remain dry and clear. Some mist and fog patches may develop overnight, with temperatures dropping to a chilly 3°C. There is also a chance of a touch of frost in rural areas.

Temperatures Set to Climb

Tuesday 7th April is forecast to bring another dry, sunny and fine day. Temperatures are expected to rise significantly, reaching up to 22°C, especially in areas enjoying prolonged sunshine.

However, cloud may begin to build across Cornwall during the afternoon, which could take the edge off the sunshine later in the day.

Midweek Changes on the Horizon

Looking ahead, Wednesday is set to continue the run of dry, sunny and warm conditions.

But by Thursday, the weather is expected to turn cooler and more changeable, with bands of rain and showers moving across the region.

There are signs that Friday could see conditions becoming drier again, although details remain less certain.

Overall, it is shaping up to be a mixed week, starting with warm spring sunshine before a brief unsettled spell later on.
