Truro City Land Two Exeter Talents in Loan Move

Truro City have confirmed the loan signings of Tom Dean and Kieran Wilson from SkyBet League One side Exeter City.

Both players join the Tinners until the end of the 2025/26 Enterprise National League season, subject to league approval.

Brothers Reunited at Truro

Tom Dean arrives at the TCS to link up with his elder brother Will, with both having progressed through Exeter City’s ranks.

The 20-year-old first joined Exeter as a trainee four years ago. He made his senior debut in October 2023 in the EFL Trophy against Arsenal under-21s before signing his first professional contract at St James Park the following summer.

Tom featured regularly during Exeter’s 2024/25 pre-season campaign and then joined Plymouth Parkway on loan ahead of the season. He remained at Bolitho Park until April before returning to Exeter.

After returning, he stepped into first-team action, making his EFL debut as a substitute against Crawley Town on Easter Monday. On the same day, Will Dean helped Truro secure promotion to the National League with a 5-2 win over St Albans City, Tom made his first senior start for Exeter against Huddersfield Town.

So far this season, Tom has made six senior appearances for Exeter, along with three outings for their under-21 side.

Wilson Makes Switch Across the Tamar

Kieran Wilson’s move to Truro follows the end of his loan spell with Torquay United.

The 18-year-old Scottish forward joined the Gulls in November and made an immediate impact, scoring on his debut in a 2-0 win over Chelmsford City. He went on to score three goals in 17 appearances for the Plainmoor side.

During his time at Torquay, the club moved under the management of former AFC Totton chief Jimmy Ball.

Before that loan, Kieran had made nine appearances for Exeter in League One this season, all from the bench.

He first linked up with Exeter in 2023 and, like Tom, made his first-team debut in the EFL Trophy while still a scholar. Kieran signed his first professional contract in the summer of 2025, having previously been with Livingston and Airdrie before moving to England.
