It has taken three spells at the club, but Harvey Greenslade is finally a Truro City player for keeps. And he is not planning to coast.

Truro City have confirmed the permanent signing of forward Harvey Greenslade. The 22-year-old has signed a two-year contract with the option to extend at the Truro City Stadium.

Greenslade spent last term in the National League with Yeovil Town. Bristol born, he has twice turned out for the Tinners before, during loan spells in the 2022-23 and 2023-24 campaigns.

A familiar face at the club

Both of those loans came from Bristol Rovers, the club where Harvey progressed through the academy ranks. On each occasion he scored four goals in double figure appearances, in the Southern League Premier and the National League South respectively.

His return brings him back to a club he says has changed a lot since he was last involved.

“Last time I was here, the club was playing at Parkway,” he told trurocity.co.uk. “I was very young although it was a good experience. The club has come a long way since then.”

“Here to stay”

For Harvey, the permanent move is something he had long hoped for.

“I can’t wait to start,” he said. “I have been here twice before on loan and to be a permanent player is always something I thought would happen one day.”

“I am really excited to get going and will be working really hard, by showing the fans that this time I am here to stay.”

He was keen to set out what supporters can expect from him on the pitch.

“I want to excite the fans and will give them 100 per cent, by not coasting through the season and I will run my heart out,” he said.

“Some of the fans will have seen me play before and they know I will give all I’ve got. And the ones that haven’t, I will excite the fans by working hard and they deserve people like that.

“I am looking forward to meeting all the fans and integrating well with them too.”
