Cornwall FA restructure brings in four new signings

Football clubs talk about formations all season. Cornwall FA has just applied the same thinking to its own staff, and the result is four new faces heading for the county’s governing body.

The organisation has confirmed a refreshed structure built around four departments, with four new staff appointed into brand new roles. Those appointments will be revealed from next week across the Cornwall FA website and social media channels.

What the new structure looks like

Cornwall FA says it reviewed the full scope of its work, the strengths of the existing team and the areas where extra expertise was needed. The county body describes the outcome as a clearer, more efficient set-up aimed at supporting clubs, leagues, referees, volunteers, coaches and players.

Facilities and Finance

Daniel Greenough continues as Facilities and Finance Manager, overseeing facility development, investment and financial operations.

Football Delivery

Chloe Harris takes the lead as Football Delivery Lead and Community Engagement Officer, heading up delivery programmes and community engagement.

Her team includes a Football Delivery Officer for Clubs and Leagues (to be announced on Monday 13 July), a Football Delivery Officer for Coach and Player Development (to be announced on Monday 20 July) and Football Delivery Administrator Lewis Cook.

The department covers coaching development, player pathways, club and league development, workshops, mentoring and community initiatives.

Football Operations

Claire Summers-Evans leads as Football Operations Lead and Designated Safeguarding Officer, taking in governance, discipline, safeguarding and operational support.

The team is made up of Football Operations Officer Joseph Hocking, Referee Officer Luke Wilkes, a Referee Administrator still to be announced, Football Operations Administrator Ami Dickens and Football Operations Apprentice Jacob Gillespie-Tapel.

Marketing and Communications

Rhiannon Morley leads communications, digital content, campaigns and brand development, working alongside a Partnerships Officer who is yet to be named.

Four new signings still under wraps

Cornwall FA has not yet said who the four new appointments are. The county body says they will be introduced from next week, giving clubs and supporters a chance to meet them and find out what they will be working on.

The restructure has been led by Interim CEO Vicky Fisher, the staff team and the Cornwall FA Board, with what the organisation calls a clear focus on building a team that is aligned, empowered and ready to deliver for the football community.

The first of the new names lands on Monday 13 July.
