West Park in Wadebridge set to close to traffic from 26 October

A short stretch of road on the West Park estate in Wadebridge is about to be off limits to traffic. For seven weekdays from the end of October, drivers will not be able to pass along the section between number 4 and number 6, and the restriction runs around the clock while it is in force.

When the closure applies

The restriction starts on Monday 26 October and runs until Tuesday 3 November 2026. It applies 24 hours a day, but on weekdays only, so the weekend of Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November falls outside it.

Which part of West Park is affected

The order covers the highway at West Park between No 4 and No 6. On the plan attached to the order, the section is marked with a red dashed line, a short length of road on the West Park Estate. The rest of the estate is not shown as restricted.

Who has made the order

Cornwall Council has made the order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, which allows temporary restrictions on a road. Its full title is The County of Cornwall (West Park, Wadebridge) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2026. The notice does not say what work or activity the closure is for.

The notice was shared by Wadebridge Town Council, which has made clear the closure is not connected to the town council. It was simply asked to pass the information on.
