New figures from Cornwall Air Ambulance show just how busy the charity was during 2025, with crews tasked to hundreds of emergencies across the county.

Cornwall Air Ambulance was tasked to 963 missions in total during 2025.

Of those call-outs:

• 429 incidents were trauma-related

• 274 were medical emergencies

• 239 were in response to cardiac arrests

• 21 were inter-hospital transfers

The figures highlight the wide range of situations the air ambulance crew responded to throughout the year.

August was the busiest month

August saw the highest demand for the service, with 106 emergency calls recorded in that single month, making it the busiest period of 2025 for Cornwall Air Ambulance.

The latest figures give a snapshot of the scale and variety of emergencies the service was tasked to across Cornwall over the past year.
