Cornwall Air Ambulance Expands with New Shop in Launceston – Here’s When It Opens

Cornwall Air Ambulance is set to open a brand-new charity shop in Launceston, adding to its growing retail network. The shop, located at 10 High Street, Launceston (PL15 8ER), will officially open its doors at 10am on Friday, 21st March.

A Fresh, Modern Shopping Experience

Designed with a strong sense of local identity, the new shop’s interior features wooden and metal finishes, reflecting Cornwall’s industrial and mining history. A bespoke till backdrop showcases Launceston Castle, tying the shop’s design to the town’s heritage.

The store will be run by a newly appointed Charity Shop Manager, supported by a team of dedicated volunteers.

Supporting Lifesaving Missions

Cornwall Air Ambulance’s charity shops play a vital role in funding the lifesaving service across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. In 2024 alone, the crew responded to 38 critical care missions in the Launceston area. The organisation’s retail operations generate over £1 million annually, ensuring the helicopter and its critical care team can continue saving lives.

The Launceston shop will be open Monday to Saturday from 9.30am to 4pm.
