Will Keating to Perform in St Just to Support YMCA Cornwall Housing Fund

Cornish folk singer-songwriter Will Keating will take to the stage at St Just Town Hall on Friday 3rd October 2025 in support of YMCA Cornwall’s Your Help, Their Future campaign. The event aims to raise funds to create four self-contained flats for young people at risk of homelessness in Cornwall.

A Night of Music with Purpose

Doors open at 6:30 PM, with the concert running until 10:00 PM. Guests can look forward to an evening of live Cornish music, a raffle with prizes, and a cash bar throughout the night.

Helen Wilson-Prowse, Head of Operations at YMCA Cornwall, said:
“We’re incredibly grateful to Will and friends for supporting us again. This concert is not only a celebration of Cornish music but a wonderful way to help us support those young people at risk in our community.”

Supporting Young People in Cornwall

The Your Help, Their Future campaign is raising £250,000 to build new accommodation within the YMCA site in Penzance. The four new flats will allow the charity to support more young people, with the waiting list for housing generally standing at 35–40 people.

So far, more than £140,000 has been raised, with a significant early donation from The Duke of Cornwall’s Charitable Foundation. Work on the new homes is scheduled to begin this autumn.

YMCA Cornwall currently supports 50 young people aged between 16–24, many of whom would otherwise be homeless or at risk.
