£6,500 Copper Theft Sparks Police Appeal in St Austell

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a high-value copper theft during a commercial burglary in St Austell.

What happened

The burglary took place at Teddington Appliance Controls on Daniels Lane. Offenders forced a window to gain entry sometime between noon on Friday 9th January and 6am on Monday 12th January.

Around £6,500 worth of copper files and wiring was stolen from the premises.

Appeal for information

Police are asking anyone who witnessed anything suspicious during that time, or who has information about the incident, to come forward. They are also keen to hear from anyone who may have been offered the copper for sale, particularly scrap metal dealers.
