154 Sacks of Rubbish Collected in St Austell Spring Clean

A major clean-up effort in St Austell has seen volunteers collect a significant amount of rubbish as part of The Great British Spring Clean.

St Austell Tidy Up Team confirmed that a total of 154 sacks of rubbish were picked up across the town and surrounding areas over the past couple of weeks. The effort included both organised group litter picks and individual contributions.

Weeks of Effort Across the Area

The team said the clean-up covered St Austell and nearby areas, with volunteers working together to tackle litter during the national campaign.

Alongside the 154 sacks collected, the group also reported larger items and instances of fly-tipping during their work.

In a message shared after the clean-up, St Austell Tidy Up Team said:

“Well with The Great British Spring Clean St Austell Tidy Up Team litterpicks done, we are pleased to say we have picked up 154 sacks of rubbish from St Austell and the surrounding area in our group and individual efforts over the past couple of weeks. This goes alongside the many larger items collected and fly tips reported. A massive thank you to everyone who took part. We are going to have a rest now and will be back on 25th April. Cheers all!”
