St Austell Man Charged with Public Order Offences Appears in Court
A man in his 40s from St Austell has been arrested and charged with five public order related offences, according to police.

Court appearance and bail conditions
The man was initially remanded and later appeared at Truro Magistrates’ Court on Saturday 4th April. Magistrates made the decision to grant bail, with strict conditions in place ahead of a further hearing scheduled for 17th April.
Police respond to criticism
St Austell Police said they are aware of posts on community social media pages that have been critical of their response.
In response, officers stated that both the Neighbourhood Team and patrol teams carried out a significant amount of evidence gathering in order to identify, arrest and charge the man.
