Truro High Cross car park switches to Q-Park as NCP deal ends
If you park at Truro’s High Cross multi-storey for work, the name above the pay machine is changing, and so is the way you get the cheap daily rate. NCP is on its way out, Q-Park is taking over, and the discount code that thousands of city centre workers have leaned on is about to stop working.

What is changing at High Cross
Truro BID has confirmed that High Cross Car Park is now operated by Q-Park. The handover from NCP is not instant. Truro BID says the switch of tariffs from NCP to Q-Park will be completed by Thursday 13 August.
Between now and then, the practical thing to sort out is the parking discount that many colleagues working in the city centre rely on.
The NCP saver code stops on Friday 31 July
The old deal ran through NCP. The NCP Colleague Saver ID Code let colleagues get up to 24 hours of parking for £4.95, Monday to Saturday, by entering the Saver ID code in the NCP ParkPass app.
That code expires on Friday 31 July. After that it no longer works, so anyone still relying on it will need the new Q-Park route instead.
How the new Q-Park discount works
Truro BID says it has been told there is a discount code for colleagues to pre-book parking through the Q-Park website from Friday 31 July onwards.
The code gives 58.75% off pre-booked parking. Based on the current tariff, that brings the rate down to £4.95 for 24 hours, the same headline figure as the old NCP saver. To get the code, colleagues need to email Truro BID at [email protected].
There is a catch worth knowing about. For now, to use the promo code you have to pre-book through the Q-Park website for each parking session, one booking at a time, rather than through an app.

When you can book High Cross
Truro BID says it has been told High Cross Car Park will be available to pre-book on the Q-Park website from Friday 31 July. It does not yet have a time for that, or any further detail from Q-Park.
For colleagues who want to weigh up the alternatives, other discounted parking options in the city centre are listed on Truro BID’s employee offers page.
