Falmouth Remembrance Sunday: when the parade sets off from The Moor
The wreaths go down at 11am. But the parade will already be forming on The Moor more than half an hour before that.
Falmouth Town Council has set out the timings for this year’s Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service in Falmouth, which takes place this Sunday (8 November) at the Garden of Remembrance in Kimberley Park.
The Town Mayor, Councillor Alan Jewell, is inviting everyone to come along. The council describes it as an annual occasion that brings the community together to honour and remember those who have served and sacrificed for the country.

A second silence on Armistice Day
Armistice Day falls next Wednesday (11 November), and a further two-minute silence will be observed at the Cross of Sacrifice in Falmouth Old Cemetery.
Anyone wishing to attend is invited to gather at 10.50am, ahead of the silence at 11am.
Residents and visitors are welcome at both. The council’s invitation closes with the familiar words: “At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.”
