Cornwall weather: Sunday 20 September, 23°C sunshine by Monday
Make the most of the garden this weekend, because Cornwall is settling into one of the finer spells of the month. The regional forecast covering the county closes the weekend on plenty of sunny spells and only warms up from there, with Monday shaping up as the pick of the days. There is a chillier note to watch overnight, though.

Today, Sunday 20 September
A fine day to round off the weekend, with lighter winds and plenty of sunny spells. The sunshine may turn hazy at times, but it stays bright and feels warm when the sun is out. The high reaches 21°C.
Tonight
Dry overnight with clear spells, and it turns chilly under starry skies. A few mist patches form in the early hours, so it could be a murky start for anyone up early. The temperature drops to 7°C.
Monday 21 September
Any mist patches clear quickly on Monday morning to leave another fine day, this time with plenty of warm sunny spells and light winds. It is the warmest day of the run, with the high climbing to 23°C.

The outlook: Tuesday to Thursday
Tuesday keeps the good weather going, with warm sunny spells and light winds again. Wednesday is where the pattern shifts, cloud and patchy rain moving through the county. Thursday then dries up once more, with sunny spells returning.
So the fine spell is not quite wall to wall. The Cornwall weather turns cloudier and damp for a day in the middle of the week, with Wednesday’s patchy rain the one real interruption before Thursday’s sunshine comes back.
